Chicagoans Battle Manganese Dust Pollution
Working with Natural Resources Defense Council story producer Keith Mulvihill, I managed all aspects of this important environmental injustice video on Chicago's Southeast side from pre to post production. Thank you to Kevin Shaw who was responsible for primary photography and John Brecher who shot the amazing drone footage. Eric Maierson was the video editor on this project.

Natural Resources Defense Council’s Gina Ramirez and members of the Southeast Side Environmental Task Force are raising awareness about the dangers of manganese dust that have plagued their families and neighbors on Chicago’s Southeast Side. Manganese, a heavy metal used in steelmaking and other industrial processes, is known to negatively impact the brain function of children.
