I had the opportunity to work with photographer, Insiya Syed on editing a piece on elite female commandos in Pakistan. Now, I’ve edited countless “in your own words” packages, but never in Urdu, the national language of Pakistan. The video was a challenge, but with help from several translators and the Asian American section editor Amna Nawaz, the final product was worth it.
